The waters of baptism work because God’s presence and saving grace have always been here. That is part of the good news of the Resurrection. Christ is alive and with us.

We can see God’s presence in the wonders of nature, filled with the most amazing creatures and beauty. We can feel the love of God in the love of family and friends and community. We can see the power of God to heal people who are broken and connect those who have known only solitude and rejection.
