Meet Our Staff
Elizabeth D. McLean – Pastor
A graduate of Princeton University, Emory University School of Law, and Princeton Theological Seminary, Elizabeth worked as an environmental lawyer for five years in Cleveland, Ohio, before entering seminary to become a minister. After being ordained in 2000, she served the First Presbyterian Church of Wooster, Ohio, and Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, MD, before being called to pastor at Prince of Peace in 2013. Elizabeth’s sense of call is to be an advocate for the Lord, which she strives to do by preaching the good news of God’s love for all people, and working for justice, reconciliation, and peace. She is the author of God in the Here and Now (available on Amazon.com) and a thematic curriculum on the Old Testament Prophets called “Prophets: A Call for Change, A Promise of Hope.” In addition to serving as Prince of Peace’s pastor, Elizabeth is also passionate about her son Nathaniel, Creation care, and the many animals under their care. Amy Lindberg – Office Assistant
Amy Lindberg has a B.A. in English from Millersville University of PA and a teaching degree from Bowie State University. She and her husband are the contemporary worship leaders at First Baptist Church, and she also works part-time as an editor.

Susanna Skelton - Office Administrator
Susanna Skelton has a B.A. in Interior Design from Virginia Tech where she met her husband. She loves to travel the world with family and holds a passion for running or any type of workout! In her spare time, she also loves to be creative and design personalized gifts.
Matthew Bunn – Director of Music
Matthew Bunn is a talented composer, arranger, organist and pianist, who has served as organist and choirmaster of several historical churches in Maryland, as well as teaching in schools and camps. Matthew is a resident of Baltimore, and was raised in the Presbyterian Church in Joppatowne, MD. In addition to his love for church music, Matthew's interests include reading, traveling, exploring art and art history. Email me.
Dorothy LaPenta – Parish Associate
Dottie is an Honorably Retired Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Baltimore Presbytery. Most recently, Dottie served for 13 years as pastor of Hope Presbyterian Church, a multi-cultural congregation in Mitchellville, MD. She is a second career pastor having worked for 23 years as a registered nurse before attending and graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary. Baltimore Presbytery ordained her in 2002. She worked at First Presbyterian of Annapolis as the Director of Christian Education. Within the National Capital Presbytery, Dottie was on the Planning and Evaluation Committee and also served on the Commission on the Preparation for Ministry, serving two years as chair. She finds the connectional, relational aspect of the PC(USA) to be a great blessing, and is very honored to be serving Christ’s Church with such devoted and gifted colleagues and friends. Email me.
Kyera Hooks – Nursery Attendant/Teacher
Kyera is a Counselor and Service Coordinator. Kyera grew up in Upstate New York, and comes from a Christian-based spiritual background. She has over eight years of experience in working with a diverse population of students in school settings, three years as a therapist in working with children and families, and over ten years of an array of volunteer experiences. Kyera enjoys working with children, and helps them reach their dreams. “Empowering one individual at a time, and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world through the lead of God and faith,” is what Kyera lives by throughout her daily life. In her spare time, Kyera enjoys motivational speaking, reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. Email me.
