About the Event
If you identify as LGBTQIA or love someone who does, then, unfortunately, odds are good that you have encountered someone who judged or condemned you on the grounds that the Bible says homosexuality is a sin. But the Bible was never meant to be a weapon. There are strong biblical arguments that the so-called anti-homosexuality "clobber texts" do not mean what people assume.
In celebration of Pride month, Pastor Elizabeth will offer a class on Sunday, June 14, at 2 - 4 pm to help people better understand what the Bible does and does not say about homosexuality, and equip those who want to be able to respond to those who use the Bible to defend hatred and exclusion with a clear biblical argument that the Gospel proclaims a God of inclusive and unconditional love.
